Job Title: Client Care Assistant (Receptionist)

Location: Oak Barn Vets, Guildford

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours a week, share of Saturday mornings, no OOH

Here at Oak Barn Vets, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Client Care Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your client service skills whilst working with a supportive and friendly team. We continue to support our associates in career development and encourage learning with ample inhouse training courses and provide an additional training budget of £100.00 for further learning.

As a practice, we encourage our team to work to their full potential and appreciate the vital role our Client Care team brings to the clinic, clients, and patients.

Your role and responsibilities:

1. Greeting clients and their pets upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner
2. Communicating directly with our vets and nurses regarding their appointments, clients, and patients
3. Explaining to our clients the status of their accounts, taking payments, issuing invoices, and advising on and helping to process insurance claims
4. Fielding phone and electronic enquiries from clients and arranging routine and emergency appointments
5. Maintaining patient clinical records using our practice management software system
6. Assisting with daily banking and debt management
7. Maintaining the appearance of the reception area to ensure a clean and welcoming environment

Within your new role, you would be working within a flexible shift pattern between the hours of 7:30am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will also share in the Saturday 8am to 1pm rota.

Oak Barn Vets is housed in a beautifully restored barn, overlooking fields with wildlife and horses. We have plenty of natural light, a garden to relax in during breaks, and ample parking available.

An annual leave allowance of 264 hours, including bank holidays (pro-rata), and an additional day off to celebrate your birthday. Weekends are worked with time back in lieu during the week, allowing for a good work-life balance.
