Job summary

White Cross Vets in Widnes is seeking a part-time Veterinary Care Assistant to support the clinical team and ensure high standards of patient and client care.

You will work under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, supporting inpatient care, patient handling and restraint, and helping maintain clinical areas and equipment. Join a values-led, supportive team with development opportunities and a friendly culture.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern
Key Responsibilities

The Veterinary Care Assistant role is important in providing support to our Veterinary Surgeons and Nursing team, working collaboratively to provide outstanding care to our patients. This role will involve animal handling and restraint, inpatient care, general cleaning and maintenance, reception cover, and peri-operative support for our surgical patients.
