Job summary

inspiring vet care at White Cross Vets in Widnes is seeking a part-time Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly clinical team. You’ll support inpatient care, patient handling and restraint, maintain clinical areas, and help deliver a compassionate experience to patients and clients.

Working 3 eight-hour days, you’ll be part of a values-led culture focused on care, growth and wellbeing, with structured development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern
  • 3 x 8 hour days
Key Responsibilities

The Veterinary Care Assistant role is important in providing support to our Veterinary Surgeons and Nursing team, working collaboratively to provide outstanding care to our patients. This role will involve animal handling and restraint, inpatient care, general cleaning and maintenance, reception cover, and peri-operative support for our surgical patients.
