Job summary

IVC Evidensia’s Hook clinic is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the non-clinical operations of our busy vet practice. You’ll work closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance and a superb client experience.

This full-time role covers people management, HR, compliance and performance delivery, with a focus on creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver outstanding care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service-led environments.
• Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development.
• Good operational and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the practice team - fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
• Handling HR responsibilities, including payroll, recruitment, staff development, and absence management.
• Managing debt recovery processes and addressing client complaints professionally.
• Ensuring high safety compliance, supporting the team with protocols and risk assessments.
• Working full time Monday-Friday
