Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients, delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience. You will support the smooth running of the practice by handling appointments, inquiries and communications, and collaborating with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

The role is part-time (20 hours per week) across 2–3 days, with shifts during opening hours (8am–7pm) and one in four

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a focus on service quality.
• Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and clinical teams to deliver exceptional customer care.
• Meet and greet clients in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Book appointments and manage clinician diaries.
• Manage telephone and email enquiries.
• Take payments for services and products.
• Manage cash handling and end-of-day banking processes.
• Prepare consultation rooms and maintain presentation standards.
• Support the opening and closing of the practice.
