Job summary

TechnipFMC plc seeks an engineer to support the Vessel Technical Superintendent in safely and cost-effectively managing the vessel's plant and machinery, and to undertake specific projects.

You will assist with daily vessel support, spares procurement, maintenance planning, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with MSI and ISM. This role requires a dynamic, self-motivated professional with marine industry experience and a strong project-management background.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in engineering or project management.
• Proven background in the specific discipline.
• Experience in marine engineering or vessel operations.
• Ability to deliver under pressure.
• Maintain behaviour in compliance with HSES requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to vessels; assist in procurement of spares.
• Maintain planned maintenance and ensure MSI/ISM compliance.
• Assist with budget control, technical specifications and report writing.
• Liaise with class societies and flag states to maintain compliance.
• Provide technical, contractual and commercial advice to inter-department teams.
• Ensure maintenance routines are updated for new or modified equipment.
• Advise the vessel technical superintendent of potential contractual, commercial and technical problems.
