Job summary

Red - Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical operation of our client's vessels. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the role combines hands-on engineering oversight with budget and systems management.

The successful applicant will be a qualified Chief Engineer or Unlimited 1st/2nd Engineer, with marine technical department experience, strong English, and the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment in the UK.

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

Job description

Reporting in to the Fleet Manager, the Technical Superintendent is responsible for managing the technical operation of our clients assigned vessels.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

• Qualified Chief Engineer or 1st/2nd Engineer Unlimited (would consider a seafarer looking to move ashore)
• Previous experience in a marine technical department, basic finance and budgets is desirable.
• Previous experience working with research/survey DP vessels (preferred)
• Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken) and oral and written skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and open to working in a dynamic environment
• Good interpersonal, planning and organisational skills, ability to engage and interact with people at all levels and ability to develop creative and effective solutions to problems.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Full right to work and live in the UK.
