Job summary

Red The Consultancy is seeking a Technical Superintendent to support the technical operation of our clients' vessels, reporting to the Fleet Manager. The role covers a broad set of duties from maintenance to budget oversight and crew management, with a focus on safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

The successful candidate will have a Chief Engineer Unlimited or 1st/2nd Engineer Unlimited license, marine technical experience, and excellent command of English.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chief Engineer or 1st/2nd Engineer Unlimited license.
• Previous marine technical department experience.
• Experience with research/survey DP vessels (preferred).
• Excellent English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all technical and operational matters for the assigned vessels.
• Oversee maintenance; dry-dock experience desirable.

Job description

Reporting in to the Fleet Manager, the Technical Superintendent is responsible for managing the technical operation of our clients assigned vessels.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

• Qualified Chief Engineer or 1st/2nd Engineer Unlimited (would consider a seafarer looking to move ashore)
• Previousexperienceinamarinetechnicaldepartment,basicfinanceandbudgetsisdesirable.
• Previous experience working with research/survey DP vessels (preferred)
• Excellent commandoftheEnglishlanguage(writtenandspoken)andoralandwrittenskills.
• Ability to work flexibly and open to working in a dynamic environment
• Goodinterpersonal,planningandorganisationalskills,abilitytoengageandinteractwithpeopleatalllevelsand abilitytodevelopcreativeandeffectivesolutionstoproblems.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Full right to work and live in the UK.
