Job summary

Red Funnel Limited is seeking a Chief Engineer for the maintenance and operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems aboard our Ro-Ro vessels. The role is focused on hands-on leadership, with responsibilities spanning main propulsion, hydraulics, and associated control systems.

The successful candidate will hold STCW95 III/1 Engineer Officer in Charge with recent seagoing experience and an ENG1 medical certificate.

Qualifications

• STCW95 III/1 Engineer Officer in Charge required.
• ENG1 medical certificate required.
• Recent seagoing experience essential.
• Knowledge of maintenance for medium speed diesels and electro-hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain main propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Oversee hydraulic and sewage systems on Ro-Ro vessels.
• Maintain galley and passenger services equipment; fabric maintenance of machinery spaces.
