Job summary

Babcock International in Plymouth, Devon, is seeking a Berthing Services Project Engineer to coordinate vessel movements and berthing operations at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will manage end-to-end service requests, liaise with berthing officers and stakeholders, and drive improvements in waterfront planning and asset availability.

Based on site, you will work 35 hours per week, leveraging Excel, MS Project and other tools, and you will need strong planning, communication and organisational

Qualifications

• Planning and scheduling in an operational, engineering or project environment.
• Proficient in Excel, MS Project and MS Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven problem-solving and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end service requests for vessel movements, waste services and waterfront ops.
• Coordinate berthing schedules for safe, efficient operations.
• Work with berthing officers to resolve issues and balance priorities.
• Monitor maintenance schedules for waterfront assets to maximise availability.
• Drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with requirements.
