Job summary

Wates Group in Southampton, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join the Hampshire Blue Light contract. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric disciplines, ensuring safety and compliance while supporting minor works and project activities.

The role requires a recognised trade qualification in Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC or Building Services, Level 3 and 18th edition (or Level 3 Plumbing), strong fault-finding

Qualifications

• Has a recognised trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services (Level 3 and 18th edition, Level 3 Plumbing, etc.).
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible, multi-skilled approach to maintenance activities.
• Full UK driving licence and focus on safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric disciplines.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete statutory compliance checks in line with schedules.
• Record works using CAFM and mobile technology.
• Support minor works and improvement projects.
• Build relationships with client representatives and end users.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota when required.
