Job summary

Wates in Southampton is recruiting an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer for the Hampshire Blue Light contract. You will conduct planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric disciplines, with a focus on safety, compliance and customer service.

Role involves diagnosing faults, completing statutory checks and recording work with CAFM and mobile tech. Applicants must have a recognised trade qualification and a strong, flexible skill set; enhanced DBS checks

Qualifications

Recognised trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services (Level 3, 18th edition, Level 3 Plumbing etc).
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Flexible, multi-skilled approach to maintenance activities.
Understands statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
Holds a full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric disciplines.
Diagnose faults and undertake repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
Complete statutory compliance checks and maintenance activities in line with schedules.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Accurately record works using CAFM and mobile technology systems.
Support the delivery of minor works and improvement projects.
Build and maintain relationships with client representatives and end users.
Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota where required.
