Job summary

Cirka UK is seeking a hands-on Venue Presentation Supervisor for Newbury Racecourse to support the Venue Presentation Manager in delivering high-quality venue presentation and cleaning operations. The role involves supervising frontline teams, coordinating staffing and resources, and ensuring safety and customer standards are maintained during events and day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will lead by example, develop operational staff, and ensure compliance with company procedures

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in cleaning or facilities management.
• Experience working in racecourses, stadiums, events venues or large public facilities.
• Strong organisational skills with workload and staffing coordination.
• Proactive hands-on approach with independent decision making.
• Good verbal and written communication; health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support Venue Presentation Manager in day-to-day management of venue presentation and cleaning operations.
• Supervise operational teams, allocate tasks and ensure standards are met.
• Plan and deliver race-day and event operations, including staffing and pre/post-event tasks.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor cleanliness and service standards.
• Lead by example to promote teamwork, professional conduct and customer service.
• Assist with recruitment, induction, training, attendance monitoring and performance management.
• Coordinate staffing levels, agency workers, equipment and consumables.
• Respond to operational issues and escalate significant concerns as needed.
• Maintain communication with racecourse departments and hospitality teams.
• Prepare operational reports, rotas and documentation for KPIs.
