Job summary

MERKUR Slots UK Limited in Wakefield is seeking a Venue Manager to drive the performance of a licensed gaming centre. The role focuses on profitability, team leadership and delivering excellent customer service.

You will manage budgets, schedules, marketing activities and compliance with LCCP, while developing your team and ensuring safe, high-quality guest experiences across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience managing budgets and hitting targets.
• Retail/hospitality/gambling management experience desirable.
• Experience with management reporting and admin tasks.
• Proven track record leading teams and assigning staff rotas.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Able to adapt to changing shifts, including 24-hour operations if needed.
• Understanding of budgeting and Profit & Loss reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance and profitability of a licensed gaming centre.
• Ensure marketing, promotions and events are executed correctly.
• Maintain security and protect cash/assets; minimise losses.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build relationships with regulars.
• Develop and train the venue team; manage recruitment where needed.
• Monitor KPIs, audits and compliance including health and safety.
