Northgate Vehicle Hire in Penrith is seeking a Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for customer hire. Level 2 Tech with 3+ years or Level 3 Tech are encouraged to apply.

We offer IMI accredited training, opportunities to upskill in Hybrid & EV repair, Tail lift, braking systems and electrics, plus a comprehensive benefits package including a generous bonus scheme and a £3,000 'Golden Hello'.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Technician qualification with at least 3 years experience or be fully qualified Level 3 Technician/Mechanic.
• IMI accredited training available for upskilling in Hybrid & EV repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and repair the company fleet to ensure safety and legal compliance for hires.
• Conduct routine servicing and diagnostic checks to support uptime.
• Contribute to training and keep up-to-date with new vehicle technologies.

Salary:£43,639 pa OTE (basic £37,639 pa + £3,011 pa bonus OTE + Overtime) and take advantage of our exceptional £3,000 'Golden Hello'.

Weekly Hours

42.5 hours / Day Shifts Only. As and when required overtime is available and this is paid at time and half.

About you

As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire. If you are Level 2 Qualified Technician with at least 3 years employment as a technician/mechanic or fully qualified Level 3 Technician / Mechanic, we would love to hear from you.

We have our own internal IMI accredited training department, where we can upskill you on such things as Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc:

For those trained to Level 2, you can take a training needs analysis so we can build a personalised training program for you to increase your skillset.
