Job summary

Van Mossel Esplanade in Cowes, Isle of Wight, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service multiple brands and uphold its high standards. You will work across brands and perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring safety and quality in every job card.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician with brand guidelines.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and servicing/repair skills.
• Customer-focused attitude and collaborative work style.
• NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment.
• Complete documentation in line with brand guidelines.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards.
• Ensure vehicles are returned safely with noted faults.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Vehicle Technician to join our Esplanade dealership in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play an important role in upholding Esplanade’s long-standing reputation on the Isle of Wight. Working across six leading brands, Škoda, CUPRA, SEAT, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Smart. You’ll carry out pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs, and complete accurate job records, following recognised manufacturer, warranty, and health and safety guidelines to ensure every vehicle is prepared and returned to customers safely and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, communicating issues back to the workshop controller and completing additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors


• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment, following Brand guidelines


• Complete documentation accurately and in line with brand guidelines


• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies


• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards


• Ensure vehicles comply with industry safety standards when returned to the customer and any faults have been reported and noted on the job cards

What you will need to be a Vehicle Technician at Esplanade:

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (Main dealer experience would be an advantage)


• Strong mechanical knowledge and skilled within servicing and repair work


• A positive and inclusive attitude, who thrives in a collaborative, team environment


• Professional with a customer focused approach


• You must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent


• Full UK driving licence

Hours of work will be:

42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm / 1 in 3 Saturdays (Paid overtime)
