Job summary

Van Mossel Automotive Group UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join the Esplanade dealership in Cowes, Isle of Wight. You will service and repair vehicles across multiple brands, performing pre-delivery inspections and maintaining compliance with brand guidelines.

Working 42.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with 1 in 3 Saturdays, you will build expertise through brand training and career development, with a competitive salary and benefits package designed to support your wellbeing

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician; main dealer experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, communicating issues back to the workshop controller and completing additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors.
• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment, following Brand guidelines.
• Complete documentation accurately and in line with brand guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards.
• Ensure vehicles comply with industry safety standards when returned to the customer and any faults have been reported and noted on the job cards.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Vehicle Technician to join our Esplanade dealership in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll play an important role in upholding Esplanade’s long-standing reputation on the Isle of Wight. Working across six leading brands, Volvo, Škoda, CUPRA, SEAT, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz and Smart. You’ll carry out pre-delivery inspections, routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs, and complete accurate job records, following recognised manufacturer, warranty, and health and safety guidelines to ensure every vehicle is prepared and returned to customers safely and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

What you will need to be a Vehicle Technician at Esplanade:

• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (Main dealer experience would be an advantage)
• Strong mechanical knowledge and skilled within servicing and repair work
• A positive and inclusive attitude, who thrives in a collaborative, team environment
• Professional with a customer focused approach
• You must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence

Hours of work will be:

42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm / 1 in 3 Saturdays (Paid overtime)
