Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our Fusion centre, part of the Halfords Garage Services team. You will service and repair vehicles, tackling tasks from routine servicing to clutches, timing belts, and diagnostics, leveraging expertise across electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.

The role offers a base salary of £35,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme averaging £6,700 per year, giving on-target earnings up to £41,700.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair/replacement work; capable of clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in electrics, brakes, steering and suspension.
• Carry out diagnostics and complex repairs as required to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
