Job summary

Halfords is seeking an skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service, repair and diagnose vehicles in our UK Autocentres. You will handle tasks from routine servicing to complex repairs such as clutch and timing belt work, electrical diagnostics and system improvements.

The role offers a base salary of £35,000 with uncapped bonus potential, including an average annual bonus of £6,600, and on-target earnings up to £41,600.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience diagnosing brakes, steering/suspension, engine and other systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repair and replacement work including complex tasks.
• Diagnose faults and perform diagnostic testing on vehicles.
• Contribute to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
