Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a franchise-approved service centre in Talbot Green. You will diagnose faults, service and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, with a focus on quality workmanship and teamwork.

Join a family-run dealer group offering training, a competitive salary up to £40,000, a performance bonus, overtime, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a pension scheme. Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with ample career progression.

Qualifications

• IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• MOT Smart Card preferred.
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with vehicle electronics or light commercial vehicles advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing and repairs to manufacturer and dealer standards.
• Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report on vehicle conditions, including safety, reliability and performance.
• Adhere to quality procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy franchise environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing technical expertise.
• Assist in vehicle inspections, MOT testing (if qualified) and service-related tasks.
• Report complex issues to the Service Manager with detailed diagnostics reports.
