Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Newbury is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our modern dealership workshop. You will perform maintenance and repairs across the VAG range using dealer-level diagnostic equipment and quality tooling.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 or City & Guilds equivalent with 1+ years experience as a Technician or Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools
• Passion for VAG marques and a diagnostic mindset
• Active MOT Tester licence or F-Gas certification is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs across the VAG range.
• Utilise dealer-level diagnostic equipment to isolate faults.
• Work with EV & Hybrid technology and ensure first-time fixes.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to experience and qualifications)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Guaranteed stable weekday schedule with STRICTLY ZERO WEEKENDS)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our modern workshop facility in Newbury. You will execute expert maintenance and repairs across the VAG range, utilize dealer-level diagnostic equipment to isolate complex electronic and mechanical faults, work with modern EV & Hybrid technology, and deliver first-time fixes.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) with 1+ years of experience as a Technician, Mechanic, or Junior Technician
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
• Passion for VAG marques and a strong diagnostic mindset
• Active MOT Tester licence or F-Gas certification is preferred, but not required
