Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a premier independent service and MOT centre in the Paddock Wood area. A competitive base salary and on-site staff parking are provided, with a Monday–Friday + shared Saturday morning rota and permanent, full-time employment.

You will diagnose and repair a wide range of makes and models using modern diagnostic gear, delivering quality workmanship with pride in a high‑calibre workshop environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent portfolio of hands-on workshop experience).
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician in a professional workshop or dealership.
• Active DVSA MOT Tester licence is a major bonus, but not essential.
• Valid full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and multi-point inspections across a wide range of makes and models.
• Utilise diagnostic suites to trace, map, and repair faults.
• Execute core mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, timing belts/chains, and engine overhauls.
• Complete clear service documentation and liaise with front‑of‑house advisor team.
• Maintain clean bay standards and ensure fixed-right-first-time quality.
