Job summary

Allen Motor Group in Northampton is recruiting a Vehicle Technician to join our Ford dealership on a full-time contract (41.33 hours per week). We offer a guaranteed minimum of £3,033.33 per month (£36,400 p.a. gross) for the first three months, with earnings increasing as performance grows.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in inspection, repair and servicing motor vehicles.
• MOT tester qualification would be highly beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and diagnostic services to meet customer satisfaction and targets.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and comply with manufacturer training.
• Uphold company and manufacturer quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle health check processes.

Allen Motor Group are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join our Ford dealership in Northampton.

This position is offered on a full-time working contract of 41.33 hours a week paying £30,900 reporting to the Aftersales Manager. Our average Vehicle Technician earnings were £42,500 last year, with our higher performing technicians earning on average £58,000!

As a vehicle technician you’ll have some key tasks and activities within your area of responsibility:

• Provide technical and diagnostic service ensuring customer satisfaction and productivity targets are met and exceeded
• Maintain the highest level of technical knowledge and ensure compliance with manufacturer training
• Uphold company and manufacturer quality standards
• Ensure 100% compliance with vehicle health check processes

Required Skills & Experience

To be considered for the position you will need to possess a relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3) as a minimum. We are looking for individuals who possess the following attributes & skills:

• A full UK driving licence
• Experience of inspection, repair and servicing motor vehicles
• MOT Tester qualification would be highly beneficial
• Fantastic verbal and written English skills
• Previous experience working in a franchised dealership (preferred but not essential)
