Job summary

Allen Motor Group in Basildon is seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician for our Ford dealership, full-time, 45 hours per week. A base salary of £35,117.55 is offered with an OTE of £42,500 and a guaranteed minimum for the first three months.

Average earnings for technicians last year were £42,500, with top performers earning around £58,000. A comprehensive benefits package and progression opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3) is required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT tester qualification would be highly beneficial.
• Experience in franchised dealership preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and diagnostic service ensuring customer satisfaction and productivity targets are met.
• Maintain the highest level of technical knowledge and ensure compliance with manufacturer training.
• Uphold company and manufacturer quality standards.
• Ensure 100% compliance with vehicle health check processes.

Job description

Allen Motor Group are currently looking to recruit a Senior Vehicle Technician to join our Ford dealership in Basildon.

This position is offered on a full-time working contract of 45 hours a week paying £35,117.55 with and an OTE of £42,500 reporting to the Aftersales Manager. Our average Vehicle Technician earnings were £42,500 last year, with our higher performing technicians earning on average £58,000!

We're so confident about your earnings that we offer a guarantee for your first three months - you'll earn a minimum of £3666.66 per month (£44,000 pa, gross). When you earn more, we'll pay you more!

Required Skills & Experience

To be considered for the position you will need to possess a relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3) as a minimum. We are looking for individuals who possess the following attributes & skills:

• A full UK driving licence
• Experience of inspection, repair and servicing motor vehicles
• MOT Tester qualification would be highly beneficial
• Fantastic verbal and written English skills
• Previous experience working in a franchised dealership (preferred but not essential)
