Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Swansea is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join its busy independent garage. The role focuses on complex mechanical work, diagnostics, and customer service with no weekend shifts and stable weekday hours.

You will perform engine work, brake overhauls, vehicle inspections, and routine servicing across various makes. A Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification is required, with NVQ Level 3 preferred, and F‑Gas certification is a plus. Own hand tools required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification is required (NVQ Level 3 preferred).
• F-Gas certification is preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complex repairs, engine work, brake overhauls, and chassis maintenance.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and rectify faults.
• Perform full vehicle inspections and routine servicing.
• Conduct health checks and safety-critical repairs for MOT readiness.
• Complete digital job cards and video health checks for updates.
