Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our Preston autocentre. You will carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and perform a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work, from diagnostics to routine services, ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard.

This full-time role offers a base salary of £35,000 with on-target earnings up to £41,800, plus an uncapped bonus scheme and extensive staff benefits, training, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Full driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and diagnose/repair vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing and repairs to a high standard.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure vehicle safety.
