Job description

Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester required in Brecon.

• Starting salary up to £28,000 per annum pending experience.
• Monday to Friday with flexibility for a half day or 4-day week with a pro-rata salary.

Our client, an independent used car dealership based in the Brecon region, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester for their Service Department.

Reporting to the Workshop Controller and working as part of a small team, your main duties will include:

• Carry out fault diagnosis, service, and repair on a variety of cars.
• Complete MOT tests on class 4 & 7 vehicles.
• Carry out used car prep and PDI's in line with internal procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and documented.
• Adhere to high standards of health and safety.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and thoroughly.

An IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is highly advantageous. However, candidates with extensive practical experience as a Vehicle Technician and no formal qualifications will also be considered. A UK driving licence with minimal points is required. Candidates with a valid class 4 and 7 MOT testing license are highly advantageous but not essential. You should be a committed team player, capable of producing high-quality work in a busy environment, and motivated to meet targets.
