Hawk Hiring in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Service Specialist to join our premium automotive facility. You will perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on high-spec vehicles using advanced tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Main-dealer experience or structured workshop background preferred.
• F-Gas certification preferred (or interest in obtaining it).
• Full UK driving licence required; MOT Tester licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections and complex repairs on premium vehicles.
• Utilise high-spec diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
• Deliver high-quality first-time fix while maintaining safety standards.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to keep operations smooth and organized.

Your Role

Working as a core member of our technical team in Cardiff, you will:

• Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections, and complex mechanical repairs across a wide range of premium vehicles.
• Utilize high-spec diagnostic tools and software to systematically troubleshoot and resolve technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
• Deliver high-quality "first-time fix" results while maintaining strict safety standards.
• Work productively to keep the workshop running smoothly in a well-organized environment.
• Collaborate productively with fellow mechanics to maintain a clean, friendly, and safety-first workshop.

What You Need

• Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Main-dealer experience or a background in structured workshop environments is strongly preferred. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily repair tasks. Motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic and pride in quality workmanship.
