Job summary

Lookers Carlisle Nissan Renault is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their workshop. You will perform health checks, services and repairs on a range of vehicles, using the latest diagnostics, and report to the Aftersales Manager.

This role offers structured progression and training opportunities. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, and prior mechanic experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a mechanic is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Brand accreditation training is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
• Perform checks per manufacturers guidelines.
• Fit requested accessories and report additional work.
• Conduct vehicle health checks and diagnose faults.
• Inspect lighting, tyre pressure and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Complete repairs and service according to guidelines.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure faults are addressed.
• Complete all paperwork to a high standard.
