Job summary

Lookers Guildford Van Centre is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join its workshop. You will work with experienced technicians to perform health checks, services and repairs using the latest tech, reporting to the Aftersales Manager who offers training and progression opportunities.

The ideal candidate is a qualified Vehicle Technician or experienced Mechanic with a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with potential brand accreditation training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines.
• Fitting additional accessories requested by the customer.
• Vehicle health check and report any further work which may be required.
• Checks on lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components.
• Completing minor repairs on new and used vehicles.
• Basic diagnosis in mechanical and electrical work.
• Carrying out vehicle service per manufacturers guidelines and customer requests.
• Warranty repairs per guidelines and complete write-up.
• Road test to ensure faults are rectified.
• Complete relevant paperwork.
