Job summary
Lookers Liverpool Vauxhall is recruiting a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join the workshop. You will carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, services and carry out repairs alongside experienced colleagues. Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential.
The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and a full UK driving licence. Brand accreditation training is provided, with EV training and career progression
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is required.
- Full and valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Brand accreditation training will be provided; EV experience desirable but not essential.
- Motor industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles per manufacturers’ guidelines and report any faults.
- Fit additional customer-requested accessories.
- Perform vehicle health checks and diagnose issues where possible.
- Check lights, tyres, and mechanical/electrical components.
- Complete routine servicing and minor repairs.
- Document work clearly and thoroughly; conduct road tests as needed.
