Job summary

Lookers Chester Vauxhall & Kia are recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join their workshop. You will perform health checks, services and repairs, working with experienced technicians and reporting to the Aftersales Manager. Brand training and career progression are provided.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:30-5 and 1 in 3 Saturdays. Excellent benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a mechanic.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles.
• Carry out checks per manufacturer guidelines.
• Fit requested accessories and report further work.
• Perform vehicle health checks and minor repairs.
• Inspect lights, tyres and components; conduct basic diagnosis.
• Complete vehicle services per guidelines and customer requests.
• Road test vehicles to verify faults are addressed.
• Handle paperwork to high standards.
