Job summary

Hampshire County Council's Hampshire Transport Management (HTM) invites applications for a Workshop Technician to service and repair a fleet of light and heavy vehicles, carry out MOT preparation, and support DVSA-compliant inspections. The role offers sociable hours, a supportive workshop environment, and a chance to contribute to Hampshire's transport safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic/problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of DVSA standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing, repairs and MOT preparation on light and heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and support break downs/roadside assistance.
