Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Gloucester is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a premier independent specialist workshop. The role focuses on long-term technical development with fully funded training and access to high-tech tooling.

The position offers a clear weekday schedule with no weekend shifts, a salary of £35,000–£40,000, and a modern, supportive environment that prioritizes quality and career progression.

Qualifications

• Time-served technician with NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds (or equivalent) and at least 18 months hands-on workshop experience.
• F-Gas certification preferred or an interest in obtaining it.
• Full UK driving licence; MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, braking, steering, suspension and other mechanical repairs.
• Use up-to-date diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work with Senior Technicians on deep engine work and safety inspections.
• Deliver high-quality first-time fix results across a range of vehicle makes and models.
