Job summary

Hendy Group, at the Tunbridge Wells Renault site, is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a high-performing team. You will perform vehicle examinations, diagnostics, and servicing to manufacturer standards, while supporting colleagues and apprentices.

The role requires NVQ3/IMI/City & Guilds, a full UK driving license, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. A MOT license is advantageous; a structured induction and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

Experience as Vehicle Technician in a main dealer/franchise environment preferred.
Formal qualification NVQ3/IMI/City & Guilds.
Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

Conduct full examinations of vehicles (including electronic vehicle health checks).
Identify non-routine defects and faults in workshop or during vehicle road tests.
Undertake timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standards.
Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive service to all colleagues and workshop customers.
Work closely with the front of house service team, ensuring they are kept informed of progress and work completed.
Discuss technical issues/works directly with customers when requested.
Offer technical advice and support to workshop apprentices.
Work with the wider workshop team to design and implement new methods of work to improve efficiency.
