Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Oldham, Greater Manchester, is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a well-established, family-run automotive business. The role offers competitive pay, ongoing training, and clear progression pathways in the motor trade.

You will service, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, with support from experienced colleagues. Benefits include a basic salary of £24,000–£28,000, Monday–Friday hours (about 7:30am–5:00pm), 25 days’ holiday, and opportunities to gain

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle servicing or repair in a workshop.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is advantageous but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
• Assist senior technicians with complex mechanical and technical tasks.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, fault diagnosis, and identify issues with guidance as needed.
• Develop diagnostic skills, especially in modern vehicle systems and electrical components.
• Work toward achieving advanced qualifications, including Level 3 and electric vehicle training.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workshop operation.
