Job summary

Lookers Glasgow Volvo is recruiting a Technician to join our busy workshop. You will perform vehicle health checks, service and repair work, and road-test vehicles to ensure faults are fully resolved.

You will work with a supportive team and report to the Aftersales Manager, with access to accredited training and hybrid/electric schemes. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a MOT Licence, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent motor industry experience.
• A MOT Licence and a full UK driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
• Carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines
• Fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer
• Vehicle health check and report any further work which may be required
• Checks on the vehicle's lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical components
• Completing minor repairs on new and used vehicles
• Conducting vehicle service and MOTs in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
• Taking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard
