Job summary

Key Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician in the Basingstoke area to join a busy automotive dealership. You will service, diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, with opportunities to perform MOT testing where qualified.

The role requires a Level 4 qualification and a strong track record in franchised main dealer environments. Competitive salary, bonus package and a supportive workshop team await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in Automotive Vehicle Servicing and Repair.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician in automotive retailer, franchised main dealer preferred.
• Strong knowledge of servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Undertake vehicle repairs and replace faulty components.
• Carry out MOT tests where qualified and authorized.
• Record work, diagnostics, and parts required.
• Ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean workshop environment.
• Communicate repair requirements clearly to customers.
