Job summary

Halfords, the UK's leading motoring and cycling retailer, is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to service and repair vehicles in our Autocentres. You will perform clutch/timing belt work, brake and electrical diagnostics, and complex repairs with a focus on quality workmanship.

We offer a competitive base salary, on-target earnings up to £43,220, and an uncapped monthly bonus averaging £6,600 per year. A full UK driving license and Level 3 qualification (or time-served experience) are

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or time-served experience is required.
• Full UK driving license with no more than 9 points.
• Experience in diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and complex repairs (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair/replacement work on vehicles.
• Clutch and timing belt replacements.
• Diagnostics in vehicle electrics.
• Brake, steering and suspension system repairs.
