Job summary

Halfords, the UK’s leading motoring and cycling retailer, is hiring a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic in Warrington. You’ll service and repair vehicles, diagnose faults, and undertake tasks such as clutch and timing-belt replacements, with scope for advanced electrical work.

A Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience is required, plus a full driving licence (max 9 points). We offer a base salary £34,000-£36,000 with an uncapped bonus averaging £7,100 annually,

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics.
• Ensure safety and quality standards during all work.
