Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a well-established dealership in the United Kingdom. The role offers a competitive base salary of £35,000 with an uncapped OTE of approximately £53,500 and performance-based bonuses.

You will perform servicing, diagnostics and repairs to high standards, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and ongoing manufacturer training including EV and hybrid courses. Clear progression pathways lead towards Master Technician status.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with warranty and servicing knowledge.
• MOT licence is advantageous; training available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, warranty work and repairs to quality and safety standards.
• Perform health checks and accurate digital write-ups and job cards.
• Carry out oil changes, brake inspections, cambelt replacements and other service tasks.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
• Support colleagues to maintain high productivity and customer satisfaction.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct routine vehicle servicing, diagnostics, warranty work, and repairs, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Perform vehicle health checks and complete digital write-ups and job cards accurately
• Carry out repairs such as oil changes, brake inspections, cambelt replacements, and other service-related tasks
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and safety regulations
• Support team members to maintain high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction
• Assist with additional tasks as required to uphold dealership performance

Requirements:

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Level 2 individuals with relevant experience may also be considered
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or mechanic, with knowledge of warranty and servicing procedures
• Strong teamwork ethic and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
• MOT licence is advantageous, but full training will be provided if necessary
• Enthusiasm for learning, developing skills, and progressing within the automotive industry
