Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd. Wakefield is seeking a trained Vehicle Mechanic/Vehicle Technician to service a mixed fleet of light vehicles, vans and HGVs, with training on public sector vehicles possible.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and 6 weekly inspections, while building strong relationships with clients. The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern with an hourly rate of £30-£32 outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained and fully qualified Vehicle Mechanic.
• Experience with light vehicles, vans or HGVs.
• Opportunity to train on specialist public sector vehicles.

The Automotive Maintenance division of Questech currently have an exciting new position, located near Wakefield. This is an opportunity to work on a mixed fleet of vehicles.

THE ROLE:

You will be an apprentice trained, fully qualified Vehicle Mechanic and have experience working with a variety of light vehicles, Vans or HGVs. You will also be given the opportunity to train on specialist public sector vehicles.

THE DUTIES:

• Preventative maintenance
• Maintaining relationships with clients
• 6 weekly inspections
• Pre M.O.T inspections
• Vehicle diagnostics

THE HOURS:

You will be working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

THE RATE OF PAY:

The pay rate is £30.00 - £32.00 per hour dependant on experience (Outside IR35)

Training and Qualifications:

• PCV or HGV City and Guilds
• NVQ level 3

You should ideally hold the following license:

• Full UK driving licence
