Job summary

Jago Consultants’ client, a well-established main dealer near Christchurch, seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to maintain, service and repair a variety of vehicles, diagnosing faults and ensuring timely completion within manufacturer standards.

The successful candidate will have at least two years in a franchise setting, hold Level 2/3 City & Guild qualifications (MOT card preferred) and a valid UK driving licence. A full UK licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a Franchise Dealership or similar.
• MOT Card preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard within scheduled times.
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose faults as required by Service Manager.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, organised and safe from hazards.
• Carry out work within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements.

My Client is a Main dealer Based Nr Christchurch and is in need of a Vehicle Technician!

Vehicle Technician Role and Responsibilities:

• To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults as and when required by Service Manager and supervisory staff
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety
• Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements

The ideal Vehicle Technician Applicant will:

• Have at least 2 years’ experience after qualifying period, of working in a Franchise Dealership (or similar)
• Ideally hold a valid MOT Card
• Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work
• Full UK driving licence
• Level 2 or 3 City and Guild Qualification (Also looking for level 3 college leavers!)
