Job summary

Jago Consultants in Fareham is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a main dealership to join their service team. You will undertake maintenance, service and repair of a range of vehicles, diagnose faults and replace components while keeping areas clean and safe and working within service times.

The ideal applicant will have main dealer experience or be a trainee, hold a valid MOT card, possess a full UK driving licence and a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• MOT Card desirable.
• Level 3 City & Guild qualification required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to the highest standard within scheduled times.
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose faults as required by Service Manager and supervisory staff.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
• Keep work areas clean and safe from hazards to health and safety.
• Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements including future servicing/repair needs.

Role and Responsibilities:

• To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults as and when required by Service Manager and supervisory staff
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety
• Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements

The ideal Applicant will:

• Preferbally with main dealer experience, however can be Trainee.
• Ideally hold a valid MOT Card
• Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work
• Full UK driving licence
• Level 3 City and Guild Qualification

Package:

Flexible, Depending on experience.
