Job summary

Vertu Motors is seeking a Vehicle Technician for the Darlington location. This role offers a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday with no weekend work, a basic salary up to £45,800 depending on skills and experience, and a £4,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments.

Opportunities span service, diagnostics, and senior technician tracks. Benefits include extensive leave, training, and career progression across over 190 locations in England and Scotland.

• Formal automotive qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3)
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential

We are offering a basic salary up to £45,800 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 40 hour working week between Monday and Friday, so No Weekend Working! We also offer an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

We are offering a £4,000 sign on bonus for this role. £2,000 in month one of your employment and £2,000 in month 12.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

We're looking for technicians across all levels and packages on offer are dependent upon experience and qualifications however, you can expect packages such as:

• Service and Maintenance Technician salaries up to £36,200
• Service and Diagnostic Technician salaries up to £38,600
• Senior Technician salaries up to £41,000
• Master Technician salaries up to £45,800

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
