Job summary

Perfect Placement is seeking a fully qualified Vehicle Technician to join a busy service department at a reputable, franchise-approved repair centre in Talbot Green. The role offers a competitive salary (£30,000–£40,000) with a monthly bonus and overtime opportunities within a family-run dealership group.

The successful candidate will diagnose faults, service and repair to manufacturer standards, report findings to the Service Manager, and uphold safety and quality.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Team-focused with a committed attitude.
• Ability to produce high-quality work in a demanding environment.
• MOT Smart Card and diagnostics/electronics experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Report vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance to the Service Manager.
• Adhere to manufacturer procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain workmanship and productivity in a busy environment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
• Assist team members and support service department operations.

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved repair centre in Talbot Green, is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. • Salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
• Ensuring faults are accurately diagnosed and reporting vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Service Manager
• Adhering to quality procedures as specified by the manufacturer and our client
• Maintaining high levels of workmanship and productivity in a busy franchise-approved environment
• Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards
• Assisting team members and supporting service department operations
• Contributing towards achieving service targets and maintaining customer satisfaction

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum qualification
• One to two years of post-qualification experience preferred
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• A committed attitude and ability to work effectively within a team
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work in a demanding environment
• Motivation to meet and exceed targets
• MOT Smart Card and experience with diagnostics, electronics, or light commercial vehicles are advantageous but not essential
