Job summary

Autotech Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a franchised dealership in Swindon. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards using modern diagnostic equipment and receive ongoing manufacturer training including hybrid/EV qualifications.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), have strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail and a full UK driving licence, and will benefit from a supportive dealer group offering £32,000 basic and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service & Repair (or equivalent).
• Experience in a dealership or workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Completing warranty repairs and associated documentation accurately.
• Performing vehicle health checks and reporting findings.
• Supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional levels of customer service.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

Vehicle Technician
Location: Swindon
Salary: £32,000 Basic | £35,000 OTE
Hours: 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday (Saturday mornings on a rota, paid as overtime)

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnosing vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing warranty repairs and associated documentation accurately
• Performing vehicle health checks and reporting findings
• Supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional levels of customer service
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service & Repair (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within a dealership, independent garage or similar workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Team‑oriented approach with a positive attitude
