Job summary

Jago Consultants is recruiting Vehicle Technicians for a main car dealership located at three sites in Watford, Slough and Hemel Hempstead. The role covers maintenance, servicing and repairs to a high standard within scheduled times.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years' experience in a main dealership, hold a valid UK MOT card, possess a full UK driving licence and City & Guilds Level 2/3. Hours are 8:30–17:30, with Saturday overtime available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a main dealership or similar industry.
• Ideally hold a valid MOT Card for the Slough position.
• Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of work.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Level 2 or 3 City & Guilds qualification.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles to high standards within scheduled times.
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose faults as required by Service Manager and supervisors.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe from hazards to health and safety.
• Carry out work within manufacturers’ servicing/repair times.
• Advise on vehicle faults and servicing needs, including future requirements.

Job description

My client is a main car dealership, who are currently looking to recruit Vehicle Technicians at 3 different sites to join their teams.

Locations:

Watford, Slough and Hemel Hempstead

Role and Responsibilities:

• To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards
  
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults as and when required by Service Manager and supervisory staff
  
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage
  
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety
  
• Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times
  
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements
  

The ideal Applicant will:

• Have at least 2 years’ experience after qualifying period, of working in a Main Dealership (or similar)
  
• Ideally hold a valid MOT Card for the Slough Position.
  
• Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work
  
• Full UK driving licence
  
• Level 2 or 3 City and Guild Qualification

Package:

Basic: Up to £40,000 depending on experience with OTE of £45,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Overtime is available on Saturdays
