Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is seeking a Vehicle Technician for our Peterborough depot. You will service and repair cars and LGVs, diagnose faults, and own your area of work with high standards. Training and mentoring are available to support your development.

The role includes supervision responsibilities and potential progression, with a basic salary up to £45,000 and overtime. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant vehicle maintenance/repair discipline or proven experience.
• Higher-level diagnostic training or previous experience in a senior diagnostic role.
• A full, valid driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and rectifying in-depth and complex diagnostic faults.
• Carrying out service, maintenance and repairs across a range of cars and LGVs.
• Liaising with the Parts Department to ensure timely job completion.
• Completing job cards, service sheets, clocking and other documentation accurately.
• Keeping workspace clean, tidy and organised.
• Maintaining up-to-date product and technical knowledge and attending training.
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and other team members as required.

We're looking for a Vehicle Technician to join the team at our Peterborough depot. You'll be working across a wide range of makes and models, carrying out everything from routine servicing and maintenance through to complex diagnostic repairs.

BASIC SALARY: up to £45,000
