Job summary

A forward-looking independent service centre in Stroud is hiring an Automotive Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic. Join a family-run business with a strong local heritage and a structured 37-hour week (8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Thu, 8:00am-1:00pm Fri).

Starting salary ranges £17-£20 per hour, with progression opportunities and RAC-accredited training. You will handle servicing, repairs, MOTs and diagnostics while maintaining thorough paperwork and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A Fully Qualified Vehicle Technician NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• A Current and Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Dedicated and committed approach.
• Your own Vehicle Technician tools.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Servicing and Repairs to a variety of Vehicles.
• MOT Testing.
• Performing Diagnostic Testing to identify Vehicle Faults.
• Ensuring that paperwork is completed to the highest of standards.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Automotive Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic within a independent family-run automotive service centre located in Stroud.

Our Automotive Client has a need for a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative.

• Starting salary between £17-20 per hour, pending experience.
• 33 days annual leave (including the bank holidays).
• Company benefits include early finish on Fridays, further RAC-accredited technical training, and free uniform/on-site parking.

• 37-hour week: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am-1:00pm Friday.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Requirements:
